Covenant House Pennsylvania hosts three separate Sleep Out events and we are always looking for individuals, civic or religious organizations, and/or companies that would like to organize a team for one of these events.
We also have two do-it-yourself sleep out models for students and well just about anyone else wanting to host their own sleep out to benefit the youth of Covenant House Pennsylvania.

Every March, Young Professionals from in and around Philadelphia sleep outside for the night and raise critical funds to support the youth of Covenant House Pennsylvania. The event is planned and hosted in partnership with Covenant House Pennsylvania's Associate Board of Young Professionals. This network plans smaller events throughout the year to promote engagement leading up the Sleep Out each March. This is the largest fundraiser hosted by any young professional organization in the City of Philadelphia.
Each April, Covenant House Pennsylvania hosts our Sleep Out: Women Unite. This Sleep Out edition brings women from the Philadelphia region together to support our most vulnerable population - our homeless young mothers and their children. We are proud to support this event in partnership with our Women's Leadership Network. This network was formed to bring engaged women leaders from our community to support our work year round and to help us to continue to grow our Sleep Out: Women Unite event.

Every November in conjunction with Homeless Youth Awareness Month, business executives and community leaders give up the corner offices and spend a night on the street to support our regions homeless youth. Under the leadership of our Executive Board of Directors, this event is our largest annual fundraiser. The event has grown to raise more than half a million dollars! This past year we were honored to have Philadelphia Phillies Wall of Famers, Charlie Manuel and Larry Bowa join us.
If you are a business or community leader interested in joining our Board of Directors please contact Jen Weikert, Executive Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Age is no limit to the potential of student groups. Middle school, high school, and college students take on the challenge of planning a Sleep Out in their own communities to experience some of the struggles faced by homeless people their age – while raising modest funds to support the basic needs of young people.
Covenant House Pennsylvania doesn’t dictate dates or times for Sleep Out: Student Edition, rather we follow the lead of the student groups. Students across the country are choosing to Sleep Out with their classmates on school property, with a faith community or civic club at a community center, as members of a sports team on a field, or with a group of like-minded friends in a private backyard. Covenant House Pennsylvania recommends that all student groups containing minors be actively chaperoned by adults.
Both Thomas Jefferson University and Temple University hosted Sleep Out: Student Edition events on their campus. With a group of dedicated student leaders and administration support you too can bring a Sleep Out to your campus next academic year.
Have you wanted to Sleep Out and raise money for our young people who are in need of your support, but things got in the way? Things like: small children at home, distance to one of our Sleep Out events, scheduling, etc. We've all been there, right? Well we have the event just for you!
Covenant House Pennsylvania has launched Sleep Out: America. This allows you to plan your own sleep out when and where you feel most comfortable and gives you all the same fundraising tools and support that all our sleepers have gotten through our other events.
