AmerisourceBergen has been a fantastic partner of Covenant House Pennsylvania for the past year. Through Executive Board participation and tremendous employee engagement, the relationship has grown steadily. AmerisourceBergen sponsored teams of sleepers at both our Executive and Young Professional Sleep Outs. They hosted a corporate immersion for our youth and came to our shelter for yet another immersion. They have held a sock drive and a professional attire drive that brought in much needed supplies. Last but certainly not least, they have become the official sponsor of the annual Covenant House Pennsylvania Basketball Tournament.
"It was a wonderful night. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face watching the kids just have a blast! Our folks had a great time too. All in all, it was a huge success."
We were thrilled to begin a relationship with Comcast this Spring when Covenant House Pennsylvania was selected as a partnering organization for Comcast Cares Day. This March we hosted 20 employees from their Law Department at our shelter to lead a career panel, mock interviews and a pizza party with our young people. We’re excited to have Comcast back again soon, and look forward to expanding on our partnership.
"It was truly an amazing experience and we are so grateful that we had a chance to share our Cares day with you, your team and the wonderful young adults there."
We met Kevin Moore from Capital One earlier this year. This month, we got to visit the new Capital One Cafe in Center City with a group of our young people. Capital One employees hosted a financial literacy budgeting workshop, and, believe it or not, our kids had a blast. We’re grateful to be able to offer our young people such a beneficial experience and excited to be partnering with Capital One in a fun, new way.
"It was awesome working with the kids. I’m glad they received value from the workshop. We, absolutely, look forward to working with Covenant House Pennsylvania on future projects."
