CHPA has worked with Juvenile Law Center since it arrived in Philadelphia in 1999. A volunteer Lawyer provides weekly (as needed) assistance to youth who have legal, custody, dependency and other issues prohibiting them from moving forward in their lives. The Lawyer helps the youth and staff assess and resolve complicated documents and issues related to court, custody, probation, identity and other complex situations. CHPA also works with the Homeless Advocacy Project. Lawyers from HAP are also provided on an as-needed basis to assist youth with all legal issues.
